With improved features compared to the NTX-R, the Fox RX+ 2 Rod Presentation Set brings deeper ears, with no increase in the height of the alarm.  The twin LED colours can be manually selected using a button located on the battery cover, and the alarm can be manually set to day or night mode. You are also able to manually adjust the Vari-Bright LED brightness, to give maximum visibility for the conditions you’re fishing in: you’ll need a different brightness on a day with blue skies and bright sun than you will for an overcast day.

Running from two AA batteries, the Fox RX+ bite alarms feature a low battery warning, so you can change the batteries before you risk missing a bite alert because they’re drained.  The overall battery drain is relatively low, so, as long as you invest in some good quality batteries, you should get a lot of use out of this fox bite alarm before you need to change the batteries. However, it makes sense to keep a pack of batteries in your kit bag, as there’s nothing more frustrating than having to finish a session without your tech because the batteries died. Bite alarm batteries required are 2xAA and the RX+ receiver requires 3xAA batteries.

With an increased clearance around the roller wheel and improved drainage, you shouldn’t have too many problems with cold conditions causing the roller wheel to seize up, leading to far more enjoyment on winter night fishing sessions. Unlike other bite alarms, the Fox RX+ alarm comes fully equipped with digital circuitry, and uses DTSS, with a high-quality cone speaker. The RX+ receiver gives stronger range performance than other models, making the RX+ the ideal bite alarm if you’re casting a fair way from the bank.

Compatible with the brand new Fox RX+ Security System, which has been designed by Fox to work with the RX+ Bite Alarm Heads and RX+ Receiver. This system features a Passive Infrared Motion Sensor (PIR) that links to the RX+ Light, RX+ Receiver and RX+ Remote. This system offers many advantages, but its main use is to alert you of any movement around your rods by both illuminating the bivvy light in the system and the remote. Giving you peace of mind that your valuable alarms and set up are safe, especially when fishing public waterways.

Sensitivity Control

In all sensitivity settings (except maximum), the line must travel the specified distance in the same direction and within 2 seconds in order to trigger the unit. Any movement in the opposite direction will reset the distance counter to zero. This can substantially reduce, or eliminate false triggering caused by wind and water movement.
